Biography

Gerald or Jerry as he is known by his family and friends has been practicing law for a remarkable 53 years having appeared in court to argue his first case back in 1969. During his early career, Jerry tried over one hundred personal injury jury cases to verdict with an impressive 90-95% success rate. As his career progressed, Jerry felt he had put in the time as a trench warfare trial lawyer and decided to put his knowledge and expertise to use as a mediator and arbitrator. Since that switch in focus, Jerry has successfully mediated hundreds if not thousands of personal injury cases, several of which have involved multi-million dollar claims. But it's not the amount of the claim that matters to Jerry, it is his commitment to helping parties reach reasonable resolutions irrespective of the dollar amount of the cases. As Counsel for Cooper Law Group, Jerry continues in his role as neutral mediator and arbitrator, but just as importantly, serves as an essential consultant over many key aspects of the firm's client's cases from initial screening, to trial consultation, to what he does best, formulate reasonable strategies for settlement maximization in light of all circumstances surrounding the claim.
